Drawing from the revered cult surf film of the '70s, Morning of the Earth, the ZIMMERMANN Spring 2025 collection, Illumination, elegantly transforms the film's profound insights into a contemporary homage to the intricate bond between humanity and the natural world.

“The film showcases the exuberance of surfers whose fervor for their craft deepens their connection to the natural world.” We embraced the film's aesthetics over the sport itself – the enchanting way it captures dappled light, the graceful movement of the sea, and that sublime sense of harmony between the surfer and nature,” remarked Nicky Zimmermann, Creative Director.

Invigorated and joyful, Illumination is crafted for a woman whose life effortlessly unfolds in harmony. Gentle movements of fabric and flowing shapes evoke the calming melody of the sea. Each garment is imbued with organic influences – hand-braided inserts, wooden beads meticulously threaded onto leather binding, and untreated cotton lace – all hinting at a profound connection with the surrounding universe.

One cannot help but notice how sculptural forms are profoundly influenced by the essence of water. Textured paper organdy evokes the delicate forms of sea anemones, while a lustrous metallic finish mirrors the shimmering sunlight dancing on water, flowing with the grace of liquid sand. Burnt bronze, refreshing white, and sandy suedes elegantly anchor the vibrant spectrum of saturated sunrise tones that permeate the collection.
